"Stop doing your job, and get to work!" That, of course, is not an actual quote from Republican party leadership, but after some members of the class of 2010 reported low fundraising numbers this quarter, one could imagine them hearing it. Open Secrets has a blog post today that delves into the fundraising numbers of the freshman class of lawmakers, who were sent here presumably to legislate, and have found that's not necessarily the priority. 

Next week, on June 26th, Gov. Mitt Romney will be holding a “Lawyers for Romney” lunch in Washington, D.C. with a host committee that is a who’s who of DC insiders.

This makes previous campaign fundraising records seem almost quaint. Politico reports today on President Obama's record-shattering fundraising haul of $86 million. Obama wasn't alone in stockpiling campaign cash ahead of the 2012 election.

Most. Expensive. Campaign. Ever. That's what we'll see during the 2012 election cycle. Politico reported on Friday on President Obama's end-of-second-quarter push for campaign cash, which is expected to be record-breaking.

When you're a longshot presidential candidate, you are free to say many of the things that others likely think, but wouldn't dare say. Former governor, and current Republican presidential candidate, Buddy Roemer, is a great example of that.
