A familiar face here on the Paid for by... blog, embattled Rep. William Jefferson's (D-LA) political fortunes survived another day and he'll head to a runoff against Helena Moreno on November 4th.

I'm no campaign consultant but this doesn't strike me as the strongest message on which to rest one's re-election hopes.

The congressman at the center of a growing bribery investigation will have a lot of company on the ballot in November.  Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) will face twelve challengers for his seat.
