Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA) has a fight ahead of him in his bid for his 9th term in Congress. Doolittle has been in the spotlight over his relationships with Jack Abramoff and Tom DeLay, his refusal to return donations from Abramoff and his clients, and the fundraising setup he has with his wife - she pockets a 15% commission on whatever she raises for his campaign.

His opponent in the GOP primary, Auburn Mayor Mike Holmes went after these weak spots, saying "John Doolittle only responds to those people who have made major contributions to his campaign[...]We feel that he has been taken over by the big money inside the beltway."

Meanwhile, Katherine Harris is in trouble again after another expensive dinner with indicted defense contractor Mitchell Wade surfaces for which she did not pay her share. Has she never heard of going Dutch?
