Report Leaves out CongressSubmitted by Katie Schlieper on Thu, 06/22/2006 - 9:21am.
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee, headed up by Senator John McCain, is due to release the report on its two year investigation into Jack Abramoff and Michael Scanlon's scheme to steal millions from tribes for whom they'd agreed to lobby on gaming rights.
However, the report will be missing details on a few key players: the members of Congress linked to Abramoff's scam via a trail of campaign contributions from the bilked tribes. The Committee claims that the dealings of Congress fall outside their jurisdiction but it's a bit like only painting half a picture.
Meanwhile, the report could mean further trouble for Ralph Reed as it could contain further details on his ties to Abramoff in addition to what already came out in the course of the investigation.
UPDATE: The report can be found here.
