How much do politicians really take from lobbyists and their PACs?  A new, fully interactive database just launched by Public Citizen tracks it - they have data on ten states now: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania - others are forthcoming.  Who is taking what - and what is it costing you? Looking at the data - particularly that of K Street highrollers like Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (R-IL) and House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) - is it any wonder Congress hasn't taken any meaningful steps to reform the pay-to-play system?  They're working the system too well to change it.  But the more information we have, the better equipped we are to go after the big money machine, so be sure and visit the site and read up on your Congressmen and women as soon as information on them is available.
