Ad Gets CensoredSubmitted by Katie Schlieper on Fri, 09/07/2007 - 2:17pm.
Yesterday we released this ad about Mitch McConnell and his ties to big money special interests. At the 11th hour last night a cable company Insight Communications, with ties to McConnell, pulled the ad from their rotation without cause or notice. Smells like censorship to us...
Big money donors. Lobbyists with connections. A powerful Senator. Unaccountable big media. The result? Political censorship that squashes freedom of speech. This ought to disturb everyone - in Kentucky and around the nation. It's not up to Insight to protect a Senator by controlling what information Kentuckians have access to. We've created a petition asking Insight to stop the censorship and put the ad on the air, you can sign it here.
