Public Campaign Action Fund issued a press release today announcing the release of Five Committees, Three Votes, a new study conducted by the watch dog group that details the disparity in health and insurance industry campaign cash received by those who voted against health reform versus those who voted for it. “These numbers tell a story that Americans already know to be true: committee members who voted in the interests of the health and insurance industries have received more money, on average, than those who didn’t,” said David Donnelly, national campaigns director of Public Campaign Action Fund, the organization that conducted the study. “The blocs of lawmakers on both the House Energy and Commerce and Senate Finance Committees who are slowing the pace and scope of reform are also huge recipients of health and insurance money.” For the full report, click here.
