The Huffington Post has a story on a fundraiser being held today for congressional candidate for Colorado’s 4th district, Cory Gardner, which is being hosted by lobbyists from BP, Goldman Sachs, and other big money special interests. Public Campaign Action Fund issued a press release on the fundraiser calling on Mr. Gardner "to show his constituents he’s accountable only to them, not his big campaign donors” by showing his support for the Fair Elections Now Act (H.R. 1826) by signing the Voters First Pledge. “Voters are angry at the way Washington D.C., works and want Congress to stop corporate-funded elections,” said Nyhart. “To show voters in the 4th Congressional District he stands for them, and not corporate lobbyists, Gardner should sign the pledge and work to pass this important legislation if elected.” For the full press release, click here.
