Public Campaign Action Fund issued a press release today on how the newly-elected majority in the House is fully embracing the big money special interest culture in the Capitol. Politico reported this morning on the controversal decision by incoming Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) to hold a $2500-a-plate fundraiser at the posh W Hotel with singer LeAnn Rimes. This business-as-usual approach has become the norm for new members of Congress who were elected to "change Washington."

“The same hands that new Republican House members raise tomorrow to take their oath of office will be the ones sullied by the collection of PAC, lobbyist, and special interest cash tonight,” said David Donnelly, national campaigns director for Public Campaign Action Fund.
