A Job Well Done

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) will hold a press conference today bashing the “Dodd-Frank” financial reform legislation passed in the last Congress.

Five of the six members slated to attend the news conference count the finance, insurance, and real estate (FIRE) sector as their top giving industry so far this year, according to our analysis of data from the Center for Responsive Politics. In fact, the six members and their leadership PACs have received over $1.8 million in cash from the sector in 2011, including $314,720 from commercial banks.
