Mitch McConnell: Pay no attention to my own out of state fundraisers

Public Campaign Action Fund is now Every Voice. Check out our new website:

Last Wednesday, a spokesperson for Sen. Mitch McConnell derided his Democratic opponent, Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, for being “too busy jetting around the country fundraising.”

Sen. Mitch McConnell, who has raised $17 million for his campaign and was at one point “dialing for dollars once the Senate wraps up nightly” obviously has little room to criticize an opponent’s out of state fundraising, but it gets better.

Just days after his campaign lobbed that attack, what was Kentucky’s Senior Senator doing?

Politico: "The Kentucky Republican stood up over the weekend and said he wanted to address the 'elephant in the room' at a fundraising retreat in Sea Island, Ga. Speaking before roughly 300 K Streeters and big donors”

New York Daily News: “Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was in wealthy Greenwich, Connecticut for a fundraiser at the exclusive Belle Haven Club Sunday evening, a person who received an invitation said.”

Maybe McConnell took a Greyhound bus instead of a jet?
