Protect Arizona’s Elections
The Arizona Clean Elections Act is ground-breaking. Its system of full public financing for statewide and legislative, in place since 2000, has already reshaped Arizona state politics. Ten out of 11 statewide officials in Arizona, including Gov. Janet Napolitano (D), ran “Clean.” Voters, not big money donors, now hold the power in Arizona. That’s exactly why big money lobbyists and special interest donors want to repeal Clean Elections. The latest effort is a legislative proposal by Rep. Rick Murphy (R), House Concurrent Resolution 2046, to repeal Clean Elections and take Arizona back to the days of big money politics. This campaign has national implications. Help us stop this repeal.
