It's about time. Since the start of European colonies in North America up to the War for Independence--and then from the Constitutional Convention up to today--big money has controlled American government, often over the will of the public. . . Maybe the colonies/ America needed that in the first 4 centuries. (& maybe not.) But that's done. Now it's time to change further. Time to make like Britain and convert from empire to republic.
