Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Post Office's get named after people all the time, they're just usually dead first.

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) is trying to name [1] a post office after Cyndi Taylor Krier, who just happens to be a lobbyist for financial services giant USAA.

On the same day the legislation to name the post office began moving through the House, Rep. Smith's campaign committee received a $5,000 campaign contribution from the USAA political action committee--the most a PAC can donate to a candidate in one year.

The USAA is the third largest contributor [2] to Smith's campaign over the years doling out $51,000, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

If $5,000 gets a post office, $51,000 makes me nervous.
