The investigation of Rep. William Jefferson for bribery has spawned a series of controversies, from the outcry over the search of his congressional office, to the ongoing debate [1] between the Congressional Black Caucus and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi over her efforts to remove him from the House Ways and Means Committee.
