The odds that DeLay could return as House Majority Leader are becoming smaller by the day.
The Houston Chronicle [1] reports that two new moderates, Rep. Chris Shays (R-CT) and Rep. Sherwood Boehlert (R-NY), have joined the chorus in calling for elections to select a new House Majority Leader. From the article:
"Shays, a vocal DeLay critic, said it 'would be a disaster' to have him return to a leadership position. 'There is no way he is going to be healthy' in the political sense, Shays said, and as a consequence he could cast an ethical pall over the GOP."
