Washington, D.C.—Campaign finance watchdog Public Campaign Action Fund responded to the expected announcement that the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction has failed to reach an agreement.

Washington, D.C.—Rep. Dave Camp (R-Mich.) will hold a fundraiser Wednesday with the same corporate interests he will be looking at as part of his role in the Joint Committee on Deficit Reduction, according to campaign finance watchdog Public Campaign Action Fund.

Washington – A watchdog group reissued its call that Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) immediately agree to end fundraising while he serves on the congressional deficit “supercommittee” today. The group, Public Campaign Action Fund, responded to Portman’s comments in the Plain-Dealer defending the continued raising of special interest money, saying “this is the way our system works.”
